San Fernando Valley Partnership Goals & Objectives
The San Fernando Valley partnership is expanding regional and sub-regional backbone staffing and collaborative infrastructure to strengthen capacity for collaborative root cause analysis, problem-solving, and goal setting for K-16 pathways.
The San Fernando Valley Partnership aims to:
Build seamless transfer pathways across K-12 and higher education that reduce non-transferable credits and improve degree completion.
Expand dual enrollment and early college experiences to connect high school students to high-demand career pathways in healthcare, technology, and engineering.
Create innovative work-based learning models through faculty collaboration that link classroom learning to industry experience.
Strengthen student belonging and support systems by coordinating enrollment services, mentoring, and wraparound supports across partner campuses.
San Fernando Valley Highlights
Increased Student Success: Despite challenges, partners reported growth in student enrollment and June 2025 graduation rates, supported by expanded enrollment assistance days that helped students overcome barriers in applications and financial aid.
Innovative Tools for Faculty: Developed a chatbot for dual enrollment faculty and staff to access trainings and resources.
Strategic Alignment: Host summer/fall partner meetings to coordinate regional metrics and launch initiatives at the August 12 kickoff event.
Funding Activation: Disburse regional funds and begin project implementation.
Accountability Systems: Create processes for partners to track and report progress toward outcomes.
