Greater LA Metro Partnership Goals & Objectives
The Greater LA Metro partnership is expanding regional and sub-regional backbone staffing and collaborative infrastructure to strengthen capacity for collaborative root cause analysis, problem-solving, and goal setting for K-16 pathways.
The Greater LA Metro Partnership aims to:
Strengthen transfer and work-based learning pipelines by aligning academic and career pathways in health sciences, computer science/IT, and engineering.
Expand dual enrollment access for underrepresented students through faculty, counseling, and administrative investment.
Develop regional outreach strategies that elevate student voices and expand visibility and accessibility of postsecondary opportunities.
Leverage data and shared accountability systems to monitor progress, align institutional goals, and promote coherence across K-12 and higher education systems.
Greater LA Metro Highlights
Subregional Kickoff and Fiscal Launch: Glendale Community College convened all partners in July 2025 to review work plans, align timelines, and finalize subagreements, officially launching regional activities.
Programmatic Progress Despite Delays: Partners used alternative funding to advance dual enrollment and WBL goals; Glendale USD hired new staff to expand programs for BIPOC and women students.
Marketing & Outreach: Develop videos and promotional materials showcasing health, IT, and engineering pathways.
Partnership Coordination: Establish recurring inter-institutional meetings and dedicated liaisons to strengthen collaboration.
Capacity Building: Hire additional staff and counselors to support GLAM initiatives and implement revised sub-project plans.
